(KTRS) – Work is nearly complete on the tracks for the Loop Trolley project.

Officials say that the final stretch of trolley track is being laid on Delmar. More than 80 percent of the track and light poles are set up already. The next major project is installing the cable suspension system. That work will require the brief closure of some parking spaces.

There is no word on when the first trolley car will hit the tracks.
