Live Long and Live Well! This show is an irreverent look at aging. We look at the importance of being active, having friends and laughing ,living and contributing, well into our senior years. Finally we want to figure out how to live long enough to be a burden to all of our children .

Wendy Wiese

Wendy has been a fixture in St. Louis media for more than 34 years. She began her career at KMOX, then KTRS, and has been a panelist on the popular Donnybrook program on KETC since 2003.  Wendy is also a recipient of the Ohio State Radio and Television News Directors and Missouri Broadcasters Association awards. She and her longtime partner, Bill Wilkerson, were honored by the St. Louis Press Club as Media Persons of the Year in 1999.

A graduate of Visitation Academy and Fontbonne College, Wendy has been active with numerous organizations including Catholic Charities and as a board member of the Mathews-Dickey Boys and Girls Club. Wendy and her husband of 32 years, Chris Carter, live in Chesterfield, MO.

Derrick Dufresne

Derrick is currently president of Mobility City of St.Louis and SW Florida. He is pleased to be a part of a 50 unit franchise based in Boca Raton Florida. They sell, repair, rent and offer white glove delivery for a whole range of durable medical products. These include wheelchairs, scooters, hospital beds, and other needed products for boomers and others.

Prior to his recent experience, he spent almost 45 years working in the field of disabilities, especially with individuals that were in unduly, confined in institutions, and presented behavioral challenges. They were not able to enjoy the everyday experiences of what many of us take for granted – Living, working and being active in the community. He also presented to over 50,000 people in 49 states on Disability and community membership topics.

Along the way, he has also been a serial entrepreneur, starting, running, and opening (and sometimes closing) businesses which include owning rental property, flipping houses, being a real estate broker, starting an online learning company, owning a car wash, a limo company, and developing a Barn Wedding venue.

Faith, family and friends are the cornerstones of what is most important to him. In addition, being a middle child, he has an irreverence, impatience, and humor which is a challenge to all around him. He is blessed to have Carol, his wonderful wife of 49 years, 3 children, grandchildren and many friends that enrich his life.

As a baby boomer in denial himself, he is very excited to be partnering with KTRS and Wendy to bring a fun filled, irreverent, and informational show, the likes of which, is the first in our local market.
