(KTRS) – If you procrastinated in filing you tax returns, you may be waiting a while to get a refund from Missouri.

The Post-Dispatch reports waits for refunds could extend to ten weeks. The Department of Revenue says they are trying to crack down on fraudulent returns and that is slowing the process. In 2014, the state paid out $85 million in fraudulent refunds, this year that number is just over $11 million.
