St. Louis, MO (KTRS) The VP Parade will return to downtown St. Louis this year.
VP Grand Marshall Jim Hetlage made that announcement during a Tuesday morning news conference at the VP Parade headquarters, also called “the Den”. Fair St. Louis will remain at Forest Park this year.
“We have two wonderful events, two wonderful venues. Together it will be a citywide celebration.” said Hetlege.
This year’s theme is “Hats Off To Heroes,” a tribute to Americans of all walks of life who have made contributions to their communities, including police officers, firefighters, and this year’s honorary Grand Marshall, The Honor Flight Network. Mayor Francis Slay has also proclaimed July 2, 2016 as “Honor Flight Network Day.”
The 134th VP Parade will step off at 7th and Market streets at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
Fair St. Louis runs July 2-4.
