( KTRS ) City officials in West Alton have issued a voluntary evacuation notice for residents and businesses.
The notice was issued Tuesday after the latest prediction said the Missouri river was expected to crest at 36.3 feet. The current levee height guarding the town is only 36 feet tall.
Note – The evacuation order is not mandatory, but officials are urging everyone in a flood affected area, to prepare themselves.
