University City, MO (KTRS) University City Police will get a new headquarters.
The city council approved a measure Monday night to construct a new building by a 5-2 vote. This is in response to the current site being condemned after a building inspector found mold and asbestos in the building last month.
According to an architectural firm hired by the city, it would cost about $12 million to build a new station. That’s compared to $25 million estimated to renovate the current building.
