St. Louis County, MO  (KTRS)   Two children are dead following a traffic accident near UMSL.

Police say an SUV crashed into a sedan at the intersection of Hanley Road at University Place Drive around 9 p.m Monday.  According to the investigation, the driver of the sedan, a 21-year-old woman was attempting to make a left turn when she was struck by the SUV.

A 13-year-old boy and a two-year-old girl were passengers in the sedan. Both children died in the crash.

The driver of the SUV, a 19-year-old man and the driver of the sedan were taken to the hospital. There’s no word on the extent of their injuries.

The names of the deceased victims haven’t been released.
