(KTRS) – The Metropolitan Sewer District says it could still be two months before the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Fenton resumes operations.
The plant was inundated during the winter floods and has been shutdown ever since. The Post-Dispatch reports that the utility thinks the plant may not be back on line until April. Starting on December 28, MSD began pumping raw sewage into the Meramec River.
Partial treatment could begin as soon as next month, but MSD officials say that is an optimistic estimate.
