ST. LOUIS (KTRS) – A three-year-old boy is dead and a manhunt is underway to find the alleged shooter.

Police were called to a house in the 1600 block of Emerald Creek Drive near Florrisant shortly after 11 a.m. on Monday. The victim has been identified by KTVI-Fox 2 as Xzavier Zane Robinson.

Investigators spent most of the afternoon searching for a 15-year-old suspect who fled on foot following the fatal shooting. The person of interest is only being identified as a “family acquaintance.”

A police spokesperson said it’s unclear if the shooting was an accident and that no weapon was recovered from the scene. No other information has been made available.
