East St. Louis, IL  (IL)  An overnight fire at an East St. Louis apartment complex for the elderly and disabled is to blame for injuring three people.

The fire broke out on the fourth floor Orr-Weathers Apartment at just after 2 a.m. Wednesday. The building had to be evacuated. Fire officials say residents should be allowed back in later today.

One of the victims injured in the fire remains hospitalized in critical condition. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
