June 2nd, 2023- Tonight on St. Louis Soccer Weekly, Brendan and Matt will sit down with Brad Davis, Bradley Carnell, Indiana Vassilev, Tom Timmermann, and Jeff Locker. Brad Davis is a former soccer player who was born and raised in St. Louis. He played for SLU for two seasons and then went right into the MLS after. He started his MLS career playing for the New York Red Bulls and after that played there for a year then went on to play for FC Dallas and San Jose Earthquakes before landing a permit spot on the Houston Dash roster. He played there for the majority of his career and then ended his career playing for Sporting KC for a year. Not only did he play in the MLS he also played for the United States national team both in his youth years and young adult years. Now he helps around the St. Louis Community by helping at St. Louis Scott Gallagher, the club he grew up playing at. He was just named an ENCL head coach for the u19 boys. Bradley Carnell is a former soccer player as well. He started his career young at the age of 16 and played for a couple teams throughout the years in South Africa where he was born. After that he decided to get into coaching. He started his coaching career as an assistant coach for the New York Red Bulls. After their head coach was fired he became the interim head coach for the Red Bulls for only a year. Now he is the first head coach for St. Louis City SC. Indiana Vassilev is a professional soccer player who plays for St. Louis City SC. He is an attacking midfielder for them. He has scored 2 goals and has 2 assists this season playing for them. Before he played for CITY he was a midfielder for Intern Miami. He was there for two years before coming to CITY. He had good success there during his two seasons with Intern Miami scoring 5 goals and 2 assists. Tom Timmermann is a beat writer for the St. Louis Post Dispatch. The beats he reports on are CITY SC and the Blues. Jeff Locker is the general manager for the Ambush as well as the head for them as well. Before taking on the duties of the general manager and the head coach he was the co-owner of the Ambush. He is an experienced wealth manager, specializing in financial planning for individuals, families and business owners.

May 30th, 2023– Today on Soccer in the Lou we will be talking with Matt Baker and Micheal Creek. Matt is a CITY supporter and KTRS contributor and co-host. Micheal is a goalkeeper for St. Louis CITY SC. He recently graduated from Missouri State University in 2021 then played for CITY 2 for a season before moving up to CITY SC. While he was on CITY 2 he appeared in 14 matches and started 13 of those. He recorded 3 clean sheets and made 29 saves. He was a key player in CITY 2’s postseason run in the Western conference which got them into the conference championship. He is now the backup goalie for CITY SC. CITY SC recently got a huge win against Vancouver this past weekend to start their home stretch of games at CITYPARK. Their next game is this Saturday at 7:30 against the Houston Dash.
