(KTRS) – A family court judge ordered that the 13-year-old girl who shot and paralyzed a couple at a beauty store in July will spend three years in the juvenile system.
The victims, who were in their 70’s, were shot while working in their daughter’s store in Bellefontaine Neighbors. The girl was in the shop earlier in the day and tried to steal hair extensions and returned later with the gun and shot the couple.
The couple’s daughter wanted the girl tried as an adult. But the NAACP joined the girl’s defense and pushed for her case to be handled in family court.
