(KTRS) – A 16-year-old boy will be tried as an adult connected to the shooting death of a toddler late last year.
Prosecutors charged Kameron Harvey with involuntary manslaughter for the shooting of 3-year-old Xavier Robinson. Investigators say that Harvey was visiting with Xavier’s older brother when they began playing with the gun and shot the young boy.
Police say that the boys were playing with the same gun the night before the shooting and that Xavier’s parents did not take it away or even check to see if it was loaded. The parents are charged with child endangerment.
