(St. Louis, MO) — The St. Louis police department has released the identity of the 19-year-old man who was shot and killed by two St. Louis police officers Wednesday night.
Officers say Isaac Holmes, of St. Louis, emerged from a stopped, stolen car holding a submachine gun with nearly three dozen rounds of ammunition.
Police Chief Sam Dotson says officers were approaching the vehicle and told Holmes to drop the weapon, but he refused and was shot.
Dotson says the car’s 19-year-old driver cooperated with officers and was taken into custody.
