St. Peters, MO (KTRS) The St. Peters Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying three women accused of stealing shopping carts full of toys over the weekend.
Police say the suspects were captured on video surveillance pushing three shopping carts full of items out of the Toys R Us on Suemandy Drive at just before 3 p.m. Saturday. The females made no attempts to purchase the items and headed straight to their silver Nissan according to police.
As they were loading up their vehicle, a customer who witnessed the theft was able to retrieve a cart full of stolen items and return it to the store. As the male customer was taking the cart, the female suspects were grabbing items from the cart as he was taking it away. The female thieves loaded the remaining stolen items their vehicle and fled the area prior to police arrival.
It is believed suspects stole $1500 – $2000 worth of various toys.
