St. Louis, MO (KTRS) Two men are facing charges in connection with a police-involved shooting in north St. Louis.
Twenty-six-Year-old Wendell Davis has been charged with gun theft, unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of a gun, resisting arrest and tampering with a motor vehicle. Twenty-nine-year-old Joshua Polk is charged with resisting arrest and tampering with a vehicle. Davis was shot by police on Thursday after he allegedly pointed a gun at a police officer. He remains hospitalized in stable condition.
Police say the incident began when officers spotted the suspects in a vehicle that was reported stolen. Police used spike strips to disable the vehicle. That’s when police say that Davis and Polk jumped out of the vehicle and tried to flee on foot in the 3800 block of Maffitt.
No officers were hurt in the incident.
