( KTRS ) A man wanted in connection with a high speed chase that left one officer dead has been arrested.
The Illinois State Police report that 34 yr old Jason Michael Stoker was apprehended late Tuesday afternoon in St. Louis.
22-year-old Officer James Brockmeyer of the Chester Police Department died on October 28th after his squad car left the roadway and flipped, while he was pursuing Stoker.
Stoker has been charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding a peace officer, additional charges are likely. Bond had previously been set in the amount of $250,000.
Stoker will remain in Missouri and police custody until extradition proceedings are resolved.
