Kirkwood, MO (KTRS) Police need the public’s help in finding the suspect who robbed a woman at gunpoint in Kirkwood over the weekend.
Investigators say the woman and her twin three-year-old daughters were in the parking lot of a Home Goods store around 1:30 p.m. Saturday when they were approached by the suspect, who demanded her purse. The suspect grabbed the woman’s purse with such force that she was knocked to the ground according to police.
The suspect escaped in a waiting vehicle and drove away from the area in a early 2000’s model light grey Mercury Grand Marquis. The victim and her children were not injured. The victim’s credit cards were used at two businesses in Cahokia, Illinois.
The suspect is described as a black male, 45-50 years of age, over 6 feet tall, clean shaven, and wearing a St Louis Cardinals jacket and a black ball cap with a Cleveland Indians logo.
