St. Louis County, MO  (KTRS)  A suspect is dead following a break in at a north county home.

Police say a man broke into a residence near Jennings Station Road and West Florissant around 12:30 a.m. Monday. That’s when an altercation occurred between the suspect and the homeowner. The suspect was stabbed to death by the homeowner during the confrontation. 

The homeowner was also injured after allegedly being punched by the suspect.

The suspect’s name hasn’t been released.
