St. Louis, MO (KTRS) A man is in stable condition at being shot by police in north St. Louis.
Authorities say officers responding to a report of a shooting in the 5100 block of Cates Avenue early Saturday morning. Upon arrival, a 50-year-old man approached them. Then according to police, a 52-year-old man walked out of a residence and began firing at the 50-year-old man. That’s when police returned fire.
The suspect retreated inside the residence. He later surrendered to police.
Police later learned that the 50-year-old man had allegedly entered a bedroom inside of the home and shot the 52-yeae-old man as he slept before police arrived.
So far, there’s no word of any charges.
