St. Louis, MO (KTRS) A suspect is facing charges in connection with the shooting of two St. Louis police officers in an attack that also left a 24-year-old woman in critical condition.
Twenty-four-year-old Devonte Morgan was charged Saturday with three counts of first-degree assault and several related charges in Friday’s shooting.
Police said a second man who was taken into custody was not charged in the shooting.
Authorities say the man opened fire on the two officers in an unmarked car after they recognized him in north St. Louis. Both officers were wounded, and a stray shot hit a 24-year-old woman in a neighboring house.
The officers have been released from the hospital. At last report,the injured woman was in critical condition.
