Sunset Hills, MO (KTRS)  Two suspects are in custody after firing at police during a chase.

Police say an officer pulled over a woman and her male passenger in Sunset Hills early Saturday morning. The pursuit began after the driver fled the scene.

According to police, shots were fired from the suspects’ car. The gunfire hit shattered the patrol car’s windshield, barely missing the officer. Police did not return fire.

The chase ended in south St. Louis after the suspect vehicle crashed.

Both suspects were taken into custody.
