(KTRS) – Plenty of questions after 40 elementary school students were taken to the hospital after complaints about an odor of natural gas.

The fire department says that around 350 students from the Ames Visual and Performing Arts Elementary were evacuated. The students said they felt sick. Laclede Gas was called to the scene, but Fox 2 reports they did not find any readings of a natural gas leak in the area.
