St. Louis, MO (KTRS) A former St. Louis prosecutor is suspended from practicing law.
Bliss Barber-Worrell’s law license has been suspended after she admitted that she helped cover up a city police detective’s assault on a handcuffed suspect. Barber-Worrell pleaded guilty in October to a felony charge of misprision of a felony.
A court order says the suspension is in place pending the outcome of disciplinary proceedings by the Missouri Supreme Court’s Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel.
Worrell’s sentencing is scheduled for April 13th.
