St. Louis, MO (KTRS) A robbery suspect is dead after being shot by a St. Louis police officer at a south city fast food restaurant.
Police say the 42-year-old police sergeant was monitoring an MLK event Sunday night when he was notified about a hold up in progress nearby at a KFC restaurant on Grand near Gravois. According to the investigation, the suspect pointed a gun at the police sergeant when he arrived.
The police sergeant ordered the suspect to drop his weapon. Investigators say the suspect didn’t comply and that’s when the officer shot him.
The suspect’s name hasn’t been released. The officer as been placed on administrative leave.
