ST. LOUIS (AP) – A St. Louis pizza restaurant and karate studio has been raided again amid allegations of neglect and dangerous conditions at a youth shelter there.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that FBI agents and other authorities took part in Thursday’s raid of DoJo Pizza. The newspaper says the business was raided or visited by investigators at least three times last month.
Authorities aren’t discussing the nature of Thursday’s raid.
Court documents allege underage girls who were living and working in the building because their parents were either homeless or in jail were not being paid and not given proper food. That’s despite government funding for lunches that went to a faith-based school program there.
No criminal charges have been filed, and calls to the business Friday seeking comment went unanswered.
