( KTRS ) We may only be in the second month of the year, but St. Louis’ official homicide number has already reached fifteen.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Departments homicide statistics, released Tuesday, show there have already been six in the central patrol area and nine in the North Patrol area. All victims are reportedly African-American and were involved in shootings.

In 2015, St. Louis Police investigated 25 homicides in South St. Louis, 50 in central area and 113 in North St. Louis.
