St. Louis, MO (KTRS) Two firefighters are okay after being rescued from a burning home in south St. Louis.
Firefighters were called to a burning home on Wherry Avenue at Eichelberger around 7 a.m. Thursday. Thats when authorities say the firefighters fell into the basement after a stairwell collapsed. Both escaped serious injury from the fall.
Another firefighter was shocked after coming into contact with a live wire. That firefighter is said to be unharmed as well.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but neighbors reported lightning strikes nearby during an overnight storm.
