St.Louis, MO (KTRS) St. Louis has a stadium funding plan.
On late Friday afternoon, the St. Louis Board of Aldermen approved the financing package by a vote of 10-17. Mayor Francis Slay is expected to sign the bill by Monday, according to city officials.
The vote was preceeded by two hours of discussion. Even Comptroller Darlene was present and shared her thoughts on the issue. Green called the plan fiscally irresposible.
The vote comes before the December 30th deadline for St. Louis to deliver its finalized riverfront stadium plan to the NFL. NFL owners meet in January to decide if up to two of the teams are allowed to relocate.
