St. Louis County, MO (KTRS) A senior at Parkway Central High School earned a perfect score on the SAT college entrance exam.
Sharanya Kumar achieved the highest possible score of 2,400. This a score typically accomplished by about 0.02 percent of those who take it.
Kumar is applying to universities as an “undecided engineering” major. She is leaning towards either bioengineering or computer science, but is also considering neuroscience or pre-med. Kumar is also considering a minor in music.
Last fall, Kumar was named a National Merit Semifinalist. Kumar has played tennis all four years of high school, and plays badminton outside of school. She has played viola since fourth-grade and has been in the NAfME All-National Honor Orchestra for the past two years and the All-State Orchestra for the past three years.
When asked where she hope to attend college, Kumar said, “Somewhere warm.”
