St. Louis, MO (KTRS) The severe weather forecasted for the east coast is prompting the St. Louis Archdiocese to cancel its annual “March For Life” in Washington, D.C.
According to a released state from the Archdiocese, “As the potentially hazardous weather situation in our nation’s capital develops, our main priority is the safety and well-being of the youth in our care. After prayerful consideration of numerous factors and consultation with archdiocesan leadership, the Catholic Youth Apostolate has decided to cancel the Generation Life pilgrimage to Washington, D.C.”
More than two-thousand high school students, chaperons, and staff were scheduled to attend the March Friday on the anniversary of the 1973 Supreme Court decision to legalize abortion.
