( KTRS ) Those who wish to keep guns off of College campuses, may have more ammo for their argument, after a man on the University of Missouri Columbia campus accidentally shot himself in the leg.

University police report that officers responded Tuesday afternoon to a loading dock near a dining hall and found Michael Stout suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say Stout was in his vehicle when he showed his firearm to a friend and accidentally fired a round into his own leg. Stout is not a student or faculty member, but was on campus giving a smoothie machine demonstration.

He was transported to the University Hospital for treatment.
