St. Louis, MO (KTRS) AB-InBev’s takeover of SAB Miller is one step closer to becoming a reality.
The $103- billion deal cleared its last major hurdle. Wednesday morning shareholders from both companies approved the acquisition.
The combined company will control almost a third of the global beer market. As part of the merger, AB-InBev will retain its name. A British court must still approve the measure next week.
The deal is expected to be wrapped up on October 10th.
