Ferguson, MO (KTRS) Several events are planned to mark the two-year-anniversary of the fatal police shooting of Michael Brown.
The Michael Brown Chosen for Change Foundation is hosting the events for the memorial weekend. The Youth Art Exhibit and reception will kick off the observance at 4 p.m. at Greater St. Mark Church in north county. This will be followed by a program at the church titled Youth Speak Truth:Responding To Racialized Violence In America. That event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
The Michael Brown Walk For Justice is planned for 8 a.m. Saturday. Line begins at 7 a.m. at Canfield Apartments in Ferguson. Participants will march to Normandy High School.
After the march, the annual Community Day will be held at Greater St. Mark Church at 10 a.m.
The CFC Scholarship & Benefit Dinner will be held at the Urban League, at 3701 Grandel Square at 7 p.m. Saturday.
A service will be held at Revival Church, 8390 Latty Ave. on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
