Ferguson, MO  (KTRS)  Police in Ferguson are investigating a shooting by a security guard at an apartment complex on Canfield Drive.

Police say it started when the security guard chased away a dog that was running loose in the complex. The dog’s owner came out and brandished a gun in a threatening manner.

Police Chief Delrish Moss tells KTRS News the guard warned the owner to put down his gun but he refused. Chief Moss says the guard shot the owner, who suffered non-life threatening injuries. He’s being treated at a local hospital.
