ST. LOUIS (AP) – The reward has climbed to more than $82,000 for information leading to an arrest in the death of a St. Louis bar owner.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports (http://j.mp/2fMD836) 57-year-old Patrick McVey was shot to death in his SUV on Nov. 9. McVey was a co-owner of Maggie O’Brien’s Restaurant & Irish Pub in downtown St. Louis. Police have reported no major breaks in their investigation.

St. Louis Police Officer Lisa Pisciotta, executive director of CrimeStoppers in St. Louis, says that as of early Wednesday, the reward was up to $82,440, the largest-ever cash reward for St. Louis Regional CrimeStoppers. The reward has gone up with contributions from family, friends and business owners.

To collect the reward, a tipster has to give information that leads to an arrest and charges.
