ST. LOUIS (KTRS) The Red Cross is already planning if … and when … Hurricane Irma hits land in the U-S.
The communications and marketing manager for the Eastern Missouri Red Cross, Zach Collins, just returned from a week in Dallas. He says the Red Cross is already in the planning stages for Irma. He says they’re assessing the resources they have in Texas and what they can send to Florida immediately but he cautions the recovery will take months.
The Red Cross of Eastern Missouri says it has sent 80 volunteers to Texas, Louisiana and Florida, and seven of their emergency response vehicles are on the ground in southeast Texas.
