Webster Groves, MO (KTRS) A hate crime on the campus of Webster University is being investigated.
Authorities say a custodian found hundreds of fliers with racist and homophobic messages outside of a black student’s dorm room earlier this week. The student who was apparently targeted did not see the fliers.
The university is currently reviewing guest logs and security cameras in an effort to find the person responsible.
Nicole Roach, the university’s vice president of diversity, inclusion and community engagement, says Webster University has a long history of reaching out to under-served and under-represented communities. She says the incident strikes the university at its core.
