St. Charles, MO (KTRS) A political organization continues to urge Congresswoman Ann Wagner to attend their town hall meetings.
On Thursday night the organization, Missouri 2nd District for Change, held an Ann Wagner town hall in St. Charles. However, Wagner was a no show. She’s currently on a congressional delegation overseas.
Al Gerber, a board member for the organization, said even though they knew Wagner was going to be a no show, it was still important for constituents to voice their concerns over issues such.
“The idea is to expose the issues that people care about that we don’t think she has addressed. Issues like serving her donors over her constituents.” Gerber explained.
Brian Humphrey, the president of the organization, says healthcare is one of the issues they want Wagner to address, “They create a plan that’s going to throw 24-million people off of healthcare and cause the deaths of thousands of people. We want her to answer for that and tell us how she thinks that’s better than the Affordable Care Act that’s already in place.”
This town hall follows one that was held in west county back in May, where Wagner did not attend. Organizers plan to invite her to a third town hall in south county in the fall.
