East Alton, IL  (KTRS)  A suspect is in custody following a police standoff in the metro-east.

Police say officers were called around 10:30 p.m. Sunday to an East Alton home on Wood River Avenue after a man allegedly fired shots at a neighbor’s home. That’s when the suspect barricaded himself in his home.

He surrendered peacefully about four hours later. No one was hurt in the gunfire.

There’s no word of any charges.
