St. Louis, MO (KTRS) – Police say a traffic stop last year in St. Louis County ended in an unexpected admission. The incident occurred in July of 2014.
Police pulled over James Redmond for having improper license plates. The officer said as he approached the car, he could smell marijuana. Redmond admitted to smoking marijuana and agreed to the let the officer search his car. During the search they found drug paraphernalia and more than $1,500.
When the officer asked Redmond where the cash came from, court documents say he responded “I’m not gonna lie, I sell marijuana”.
Redmond was charged with a felony for intent to distribute.
