A man fatally shot in O’Fallon, MO, was reportedly attempting to burgle a house owned by Pamela Hupp, a key figure in a Lincoln County murder case.
Just after noon Tuesday, police were called to a home in the 1200 block of Little Brave Drive.
Police Chief Roy Joachimstaler told the St. Louis Post Dispatch that police got two calls, first that a burglary was in progress and then that a person had been shot. He did not identify the shooter or comment on whether Hupp was involved.
Pamela Hupp was a key figure in the investigation of the 2011 fatal stabbing of Elizabeth “Betsy” Faria and a key witness in the prosecution of Faria’s husband, Russell. He was convicted by a jury in 2013, but that was later overturned and Faria was acquitted by a judge in 2015.
