St. Louis, MO  (KTRS)  A man is dead following a shooting in south St. Louis.

Police say 18-year-old  Leland Butler was driving along South Broadway near California late Monday night when shot were fired. After being hit in the gunfire, Butler crashed his car into a utility pole in the 4300 block of South Broadway. He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Butler’s passenger wasn’t injured.

There’s no word of any arrests or a motive. This brings St. Louis’ murder count to at least 54 for the year.
