(KTRS) – The St. Louis Police Sergeant who was shot twice in the face is home today.

Police have also identified the suspect in the shooting as 19-year-old George Bush III. Chief Sam Dotson believes that Bush shot the officer because he feared he would be recognized in connection to other crimes.

Bush III died early Monday morning in a shootout with law enforcement.
