Ballwin, MO (KTRS) The Ballwin Police Department has released the identity of the officer who was shot during a traffic stop on Friday.
The injured officer has been identified as 31-year-old Mike Flamion. He joined the Ballwin Police Department in 2014. Flamion previously served as an officer with the DeSoto Police Department for 7 years.
On Friday morning, Flamion was shot during a traffic stop in the 300 block of New Ballwin Road. The officer remains hospitalized in critical, but stable condition.
The suspect, 31-year-old Antonio Taylor was arrested after a brief foot chase. Taylor has been charged first-degree assault of a law enforcement officer, armed criminal action, and being a felon in possession of a weapon.
