( KTRS ) Police have arrested a man that evaded capture, after being shot.
Around 9:45am Thursday morning, a police officer noticed a vehicle driving erratically near Dunn and Bellefontaine. The officer stopped the Chevy Silverado, but as he approached the driver, a white male, got out and ran. The passenger, a black male, reportedly produced a handgun and pointed it towards the officer and driver.
The officer then fired several shots at the suspect, before he was able to escape in the Chevy Silverado.
A pursuit ensued into St. Louis City, and ended near Hall St. and Blase, where the suspect fled from the vehicle on foot. The suspect was later found and arrested at the St. Louis University Hospital after being treated for a gun shot wound.
The initial driver of the vehicle admitted that he and the suspect were in the middle of a drug deal when first stopped by police.
