Kirkwood, MO  (KTRS)  One person is dead after being hit by a freight train in Kirkwood.

Union Pacific Railroad notified police that an engineer reported the train struck someone around 5 a.m  Friday along Geyer Road near Big Bend . The victim’s body was found about an hour later.

The name of the victim hasn’t been released, and it’s not immediately clear why that person was on the tracks.
