ST. LOUIS (AP) – Authorities in eastern Missouri are searching for an escaped county jail inmate after the capture of his accomplice.
Missouri Highway Patrol Sergeant Clark Parrott tells the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that 38-year-old Jason Mills remains at large Monday after the Sunday afternoon escape from the Madison County Jail in Fredericktown. The jail is about 90 miles south of St. Louis.
Police caught 21-year-old Adam Moore, a convicted murderer, on Sunday night.
Mills was reportedly last seen in Franklin County, where he is believed to have crashed a stolen vehicle before fleeing. He is white, 5-foot-9 and weighs approximately 175 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
Mills is believed to be armed and dangerous.
