( KTRS ) Police are investigating a holdup at a Taco Bell that led to a brief gunfire exchange between officers and the robbers.

Around 5:45 Wednesday evening police received a call for a robbery in progress at the restaurant on South Grand. As police arrived, two suspects fled the store. One of them fired at police, the other dropped a cash register and they both took off in different directions.

The officers returned fire but no one was struck.

After a short chase one suspect was taken into custody, the other remains at large. At this time no further details have been released.
