St. Charles County, MO  (KTRS)  Two are dead and one is injured following a home invasion in St. Charles County.

Police say a man entered a home on Southwinds Drive at just before  4 a.m. Monday, where he confronted a resident, a young man, whom he reportedly knew. That’s when the father woke up to the commotion.

The father and another son reportedly fought the suspect. The suspect was fatally shot. The father and the son who came to his aid were also shot. The “St. Louis Post Dispatch” is reporting that the father has died of his injuries. There’s no word on the son’s condition.

The name of the suspect hasn’t been released.
